The start date, not the day you typed it in
In the “In your net worth since” field enter a year (e.g. 2019), a year and month (2019-06) or an exact day. From that date the asset counts on the chart and in the wealth breakdown; before it, its value is zero — as it really was.
The field is optional. Without a date the asset counts from the day it was added, as before.
It works for assets you already have
Open the asset, fill in the date and save. The value history moves to that date: the first point on the chart takes the value the asset had in Martia back then, and later valuations — an accepted market estimate, for example — stay as they are.
